NOTE: beginning ch1 sts are not included in st count and you don't join rounds in them
Round 1
In adjustable ring: ch1, 7 sc, join with sl st in 1st sc of round [7 sc]
Round 2
ch1, 2sc in next st and in each st around, join with sl st in first sc of round [14 sc]
Round 3
ch1, *2sc in next st, 1 sc in next st* 7 times, join with sl st in 1st sc of round [21 sc]
Round 4
NOTE: star points are worked in blo, slip sts in both loops
ch1, place marker in chain just made, *sl st in next st, star point in next st, sl st in next st* 7 times, fasten off in this manner:
-cut about 2.5 in of yarn, pull it all the way through the last stitch
-insert hook from back to front in marked ch, pull yarn through it to the back of your star, remove marker
-weave yarn ends in with a needle
You can add a loop for hanging you starlet between any two points working a chain of desired lenght between slip stitches, or simply pull a separate piece of yarn through a picot.
Embellish your stars with buttons, tiny jingle bells and beads. Block lightly just with your fingers. You may take two stars and sew them together, stuffing very lightly with fiberfill for a thicker star that will not curl (but they don't curl that much, anyway)
Enjoy stargazing , no telescope needed :)
Jakie sliczne. Chyba dzisiaj siade i sprobuje. U nas temp raczej wiosenna, a wiec chociaz biale gwiazdki rozbiela nam swiat.
Pozdrawiam serdecznie.
UsuńI love the stars, Marta! I love them with buttons, and I love them with colorful centers, and I love them plain. ;^) I'm going to save a link to this page so I can find it come Christmas time when I will want to make some.
